My name is Tracy Gibson, and I have over 30 years of experience caring for sick and elderly patients in the Savannah and Low Country area. I understand how difficult it is to find a reliable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable person to care for your loved one. I too have had parents who have suffered from long term illnesses. My father suffered from a stroke and dementia for 20 years before passing in 2019. His condition worsened over time until he was no longer able to live alone. I made the decision to move him in with me rather than place him in a nursing home. My mother's cancer was diagnosed in the advanced stages in 2016. It was too late for treatment, so the doctors recommended hospice. My siblings and I decided that she should peacefully live out her final days at home. I believe that everyone should be in the comfort of their home as long as humanly possible. This is what I wanted for my own parents, and I am sure that this is what you want for yours.
